The trend of tablet PCs makes Intel very difficult, because usually there are no Intel processors in the devices but ARM technology as in the Apple IPAD 2. Now Intel has developed new processors for ultra-flat notebooks the notebook manufacturers have already started their production.
Ultrabooks are clones with the Windows operating system like the Apple Mac Book Air. Despite the new technology, these should be cheaper than the competition. Thanks to particularly low-power versions of Intel’s current processor generation, Ultrabook batteries are expected to last for a particularly long time, as normal notebooks can no longer keep up.
Ultrabooks are usually ready for use very quickly, Intel promises. From the standby mode, they should wake up within less than seven seconds. This would be worth a spike, the first devices will show whether this peak time is also reached.

Asus has now announced two devices: the UX21 with 11.6 inches and the UX 31. As a market launch, the 4th quarter indicated prices ASUS does not yet reveal.
