If you run older MS DOS programs on a Windows XP computer and end it can happen that after quitting a window with the STATUS: [not active ***] appears. There is, of course, a simple solution to this problem.
SOLUTION: right-click on the MS-DOS application, select the program tab and tick the tick after closing.
