Mulfingen (pts020/08.04.2013/16:10) – Chancellor Angela Merkel informed herself today at the ebm-papst stand in Hanover about product innovations of the world market leader of fans and motors. Together with Russian President Vladimir Putin – Russia is the partner country of the Hannover Messe 2013 this year – she had the revolutionary diffuser AxiTop® demonstrated.
The world innovation, made partly from the biomaterial epylen®, which is used in cooling processes within industrial and power plants, was honoured with a Hermes Award nomination at the opening of the Hannover Messe on Sunday evening. The jury justified the award with an energy saving of up to 27% and a noise reduction of 7.2 dB(A).
Rainer Hundsdörfer, CEO of the ebm-papst Group: „We started with climate protection even before politicians knew how to deal with this issue properly.“ Chancellor Angela Merkel added: „When politics was still winding, you already built fans.“

In this way, the technology specialist uses energy-saving EC fans to ensure gas transport from Russia.
In the field of drive technology, ebm-papst is presenting energy-saving drive systems consisting of motor, electronics, software and transmission for the first time. In January 2013, ebm-papst took over the transmission specialist „Zeitlauf“ and thus expanded its product portfolio.
