Rubbermaid – the digital business car convinces at conhIT in Berlin

PC/notebook cart – mobile workstation for innovative CIS systems

Zurich/Bachenbülach (pts007/09.04.2013/08:00) – Electronic recording, or the retrieval of data directly from the patient, at the point of care, is recognized as an important component of the entire e-health workflow. With its Medical Cart, the American manufacturer Rubbermaid meets the needs of modern day hospital life in an excellent way. Especially hospitals and clinics in Switzerland and Europe, where innovative information systems (CIS) have been introduced or corresponding projects are underway, opt for this mobile workplace.

Doctors and nurses appreciate the excellent quality and the compact, ergonomic design as well as the sophisticated technology. The car is light and agile and can be steplessly adjusted in height with one click. A generous worktop with document storage allows forward working. The keyboard and mouse shelf can be individually adjusted in inclination, height and for left and right hands. In addition, the keyboard tray is pivotable and allows personal eye contact between the patient and the operator even during data input. For care operations, appropriate utensils can be carried as required, such as infusion bags, syringes, disinfection bottles, medications, etc. Devices for blood pressure measurement, barcode or RFID readers, vital function detection etc. are connected directly, so that the corresponding values can flow directly and without transmission errors into the patient file.

All cables are cleanly supplied in the stable pillar. Depending on requirements, various energy systems are available: The LiFePo4 battery can offer up to 16 h grid independence depending on the connected power consumers. After about 2.5 hours of charging, it is fully operational again. The battery can withstand 4,000 charges and the manufacturer grants a 5-year warranty on the battery and the electrical components. The TCO costs of this model are very low thanks to high-quality energy management, long operating times and the high number of charge cycles. This saves real operating costs!

At conhIT in Berlin, at the booth of MEIERHOFER AG (Hall 1.2/B-101) and DIDAS Services GmbH (Hall 1.2/E-107), the Rubbermaid Medical Cart can be held from 9 to 11. April 2013 will be tested. Competent staff are on site.

WAGNER VISUELL AG imports the Rubbermaid Medical Cart directly from the USA and has established its own competence center with consulting, support and services in Switzerland.
