landwirt.com registers 40,000 users via iPad – 17,000 via iPhone
Graz (pts022/09.04.2013/14:00) – Mobile use of smartphones and tablets is also becoming increasingly important in agriculture. Therefore, it is not surprising that the apps for Android and iPhone of the online portal http://www.landwirt.com were already successful immediately after their launch. Now „The advanced farmer“ is also bringing an iPad version to the market as an innovative pioneer.
Mobility as a growing trend
In general, there is a steady increase in mobile Internet use in the agricultural sector. „It is likely that in the near future, more users will access the Internet via mobile browsers than via stationary ones,“ says portal manager Thomas Mühlbacher. Farmer.com not only allows easy mobile use of the site, but also offers a number of apps.
The figures speak for themselves: one year ago, around three percent of daily visitors to www.landwirt.com came via smartphones and tablets. In the meantime, it is already over 14 percent. Although it may be almost a matter of faith for some smartphone owners whether they choose an Apple device or one of their competitors, one thing is certain in any case: the scope and features of all versions of the app are always the same – regardless of which device you hold in your hands.
User-friendly operation
In addition to the apps, there is also a mobile website. This is perfectly tailored to the browsers of Samsung, Galaxy, Sony, iPhone and iPad. The specially optimized version for mobile phones allows a particularly simple and clear use of the website. Even technically not so affine people can easily cope. Whether you want to quickly search for the latest agricultural machinery offers or watch current videos: Through the mobile use of Farmer.com you are always up to date!
Brand new app for iPad
As the first portal, Farmer.com is now launching another innovative innovation: a dedicated app for the iPad. This innovation closes another gap in mobile use. Because the statistics clearly shows that the access to Farmer.com is particularly often via the iPad. Within just one year, there was an increase from 10,000 to over 40,000 users per month who used the farmer app with this device. Right behind, with nearly 17,000 active users, ranks the iPhone.
Steadily growing number of users
Especially in times when everything usually has to happen quickly and above all spontaneously, mobility primarily enables a massive time saving for the customer. Over 50,000 offers from Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Italy, Hungary and Switzerland are waiting for visitors – and there are many hundreds more every day.
