If you can not renew your JAVA installation i.e. you can install a new update and the error message comes: File not Found „jre.1.7.0 04-c.msi‚. Then you proceed as follows.
First try to remove the JAVA installations in the software management in the control panel if this brings further error messages.
Navigates to directory C:\Windows and deletes the Sun folder
if the folder C:\Windows\Java Existing also deletes it.
Then you navigate:
- C:\Programs (under Windows XP)
- C:\Program Files (x86) (on Windows 7 /Vista 32 bit)
- C:\Program Files (on Windows 7 / Vista 64 bit)
under C:\Windows\system32 delete if available
- javaw.exe
- javaws.exe
- java.exe
Registry – Regedit.exe
Then you start the regestry under Start –> Run –> regedit and delete the entries
- HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft
- HKEY CURRENT USER\Software\JavaSoft
and …
- HKEY LOCAL MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Uninstall
Here you have to enter {26A24AE4-039D-4CA4-87B4-2F83216013FB} delete.
Afterwards you can under www.java.com Download and install the current version of JAVA.
