With the media player alone you can not record any transmission, you need the ASF recorder. The format of stored radio files is called ASF (Audio Streaming File). The media player can play this format but cannot write to the hard disk.
If you enter a URL with the ASF Recorder via “File”, a streaming audio file can be received from there and then recorded. The recorder can be opened via Internet Explorer or just like that.
