In Google’s Chrome web browser, the cache (files created when pages are called up, such as images, Javascripts and HTML files) is stored locally on your hard drive. It may happen in the case that this cache fills up memory and you have to wait longer when browsing new websites.
In the following instructions we will show you how to expand the cache.
- Click right on the Google Chrome browser
- Now select properties
- In the shortcut menu item there is the Target field where the path to your Google Chrome.exe should be inside. As here: C:\Users\TEST\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe
- Now go to the beginning of your line to get there quickly click in to the edit field with the link to the *.exe file and press Pos1 on your keyboard – this brings you to the first position of this line
- Enter the following character before the drive letter: „
- Now go to the end of this line to get there quickly click in the edit field and then press on your keyboard on the key end – this will automatically bring you to the end of the line
- Now enter a space
- and write the following text disc-cache-size=512000 with the number 512000 we specify the new cache size in bytes.
- Now click OK and your change is saved.
Now start the Google Chrome via the just changed icon in the system startup bar or on the desktop.
