Dogado web hosting or WordPress hosting: buying guide and migration checklist

When building a business website or blog, do not choose hosting on introductory price alone. Dogado offers general web hosting and WordPress hosting. Your application, ongoing costs and a workable recovery process matter most. This checklist helps you compare without recommending one plan to everyone.

Which type fits?

For a planned WordPress project, the WordPress offering is a useful starting point. If you need other applications or several different projects, compare general web hosting too. Check the specific plan's supported PHP versions, database count, storage limits and access methods. A product name does not prove sufficient performance for a large shop or complete maintenance of your website.

Clarify before ordering

List your websites, domains, mailboxes and databases, along with current storage use. Compare the total cost over the minimum term, including promotional months, renewal price, domain renewal, paid extras and cancellation notice. Ask for clarification before buying. We deliberately avoid presenting a promotional price as a permanent offer.

Backups: check frequency and recovery

Dogado's pages checked on 7 October 2026 differ: the WordPress product page says backups every two hours, while the help article says every three hours with at least seven days' retention. Ask which terms apply to your plan and platform. Confirm whether files, databases and email are included, whether recovery costs extra and whether restoration to a separate folder is possible. Having a backup is not the same as a successful restore test.

Migrate before cancelling

First make your own file and database backup and save required email separately. Record DNS settings and plan the change. Test the copied website before switching, especially forms, login and important redirects. Afterwards verify HTTPS, incoming and outgoing email, and availability. Cancel the old hosting only when the new service and data migration demonstrably work.

Our assessment

Dogado is an option to compare if you want a hosting package rather than a self-managed server. Business-critical shops, specialist applications and contractual availability requirements need a separate review of technical limits and service agreements. Choose after matching requirements; affiliate approval and advertising claims do not replace measurements or testing the relevant plan.
