Included are real-time protection, anti-spyware, anti-phishing, ransomware shield, LiveGrid and on Windows other protection and performance functions. Not included are the convenience, network and data protection modules of the ESET-HOME security packages. NOD32 is especially suited to individuals and small households whose devices to protect are PCs or Macs and who already use other solutions for password management, VPN, backups and network functions. For Password Manager, File Encryption, Folder Guard, LiveGuard and VPN, Premium is considered; Ultimate complements, among other things, identity protection, a larger VPN contingent and ransomware fixation.

Resource Requirement: What can be said reliably
ESET promotes NOD32 with low system load, multithread scanning and a gamer mode that reduces notifications and background activity for full screen applications. The Awin feed also describes the software as resource-saving. These are manufacturer and program statements, not their own measurement. The actual CPU, memory and data carrier load depends on hardware, file stock, scan profile and parallel software.
A reasonable purchase check is therefore the 30-day trial version on your own computer: Start time, typical office life, video conference, file copy, full scan and compare game operation. Two antivirus programs should not run in parallel; ESET explicitly warns against resource conflicts.
System requirements
The current online help for NOD32 Antivirus 19 is called Windows 11 and Windows 10 as well as Intel/AMD x64 or ARM64 with at least 1 GHz. Windows 10 has reached its Microsoft support end; ESET continues to support 64-bit and ARM versions. For 32-bit Windows 10, version 18.2 is the last compatible version. Activation and updates require an Internet connection. ARM64 lacks exploit blockers, deep behavior inspection, advanced machine learning and certain cleaning modules.

What additional functions are missing?
Compared to the HOME security packages, there is a lack of firewall, protection against network attacks, network inspector, secure banking and surfing, webcam protection, anti-theft, parental controls and protection for Android. Depending on the higher package, Folder Guard, Password Manager, File Encryption, LiveGuard, VPN, Identity Protection and Ransomware Resolving are added. NOD32 is therefore not a complete data protection, network or family package and does not replace a separate backup.

Compare not only the entry price, but the number of devices required, the extension price and existing services.

No. The Austrian product page is called Windows and macOS; ESET Cyber Security is activated on the Mac. The functions are not identical.
