The free tool “maComfort” merges the best of two worlds: Windows 7 is expanded with some useful functions, which are only available in the form of the Apple operating system Mac OS X:
The Quicklook function, for example, is so convenient that you do not want to miss it after a short time. This makes it possible to simply mark a file with a left click – then a press on the spacebar is enough to show a preview of this file. Also very useful is the “Active Corners” function: This allows you to assign different functions to your four corners of the screen, which are automatically executed as soon as you move the cursor into the respective corner. For example, you can display the desktop even faster.
Virtual desktops are also included in maComfort: With virtual desktops, you can easily make multiple monitors from your monitor – but as the name already says, of course only virtually. They simply switch between the virtual monitors and can therefore work more efficiently on different projects. However, this function is primarily recommended for ambitious users or freelancers who often work on several projects at the same time.
