The Raspberry PI is an ingenious multimedia system for the home. It’s cheaper than a DVD box and a bit bigger than a cigarette box.
With an RJ45 interface, a memory card slot, a USB interface and an HDMI connection, you can even watch 1080p movies. Converted costs the device in Europe between 50 and 90 €.
On some TVs, such as Phillips, the interface can even be controlled without a mouse and keyboard via the remote control of the device.
Network drives can be integrated via the SMB protocol via the Mount command.

Since an open source Linux derivative runs on the device, some developers have done the work and developed apps such as: Air Play or streaming functions various platforms.
