DORDA BRUGGER JORDIS is Austrian Law Firm of the Year
Vienna (pts023/11.04.2013/13:40) – The renowned specialist magazine International Financial Law Review (IFLR) has honored DORDA BRUGGER JORDIS with the award „Austrian Law Firm of the Year“. Hengeler Mueller was elected „German Law Firm of the Year“ and Homburger „Swiss Law Firm of the Year“. These coveted and internationally renowned awards were presented on 10 April 2013 at the IFLR Europe Awards 2013 in London.
The IFLR Awards are presented by an independent jury to international law firms that have distinguished themselves in the past year for their particularly innovative legal advice on complex transactions in the areas of M&A, banking and capital market law. The presentation of the IFLR Europe Awards is based on comprehensive annual investigations and surveys of companies, legal departments and lawyers.
Decisive for the success of DORDA BRUGGER JORDIS were several cross-border transactions, which were successfully accompanied by the law firm in 2012. The role of the firm in advising the issuing banks on the EUR 7.5 billion capital increase of UniCredit, the sale of Orange to „3 – Hutchinson“ and the sale of Volksbank International to Sberbank of Russia were highlighted at the award ceremony in London.
We are of course very proud of this award, which we were able to win for the second time. It is a recognition for all employees of our law firm and it shows us that we are also a strong team in an international comparison, says Paul Doralt, Partner at DORDA BRUGGER JORDIS. Of course we must not rest on this: The new year has already begun and our competitors do not sleep. The renowned British legal information service International Law Office (ILO) has already awarded DORDA BRUGGER JORDIS the award „Austrian Law Firm of the Year“, as well as in 2012. Chambers Europe voted it the best Austrian law firm in 2010 and the year before, DORDA BRUGGER JORDIS received this award for the first time from International Financial Law Review. The firm’s experts regularly occupy top positions in all renowned law reference works such as IFLR 1000, Chambers Global, Legal 500 or Chambers Europe in their respective legal fields.
