Partnership for innovative hotspot solutions
Aachen/Vienna (pts011/09.04.2013/10:00) – LANCOM Systems GmbH and Loop21 Mobile Net GmbH have agreed on a close cooperation for the development of innovative hotspot solutions within the framework of the LANCOM partner program LANstrategy. LANCOM is the leading German specialist for secure VPN location networking and wireless LAN infrastructures. Loop21 is based in Vienna and is a developer, producer and provider of WLAN hotspot systems. Both companies plan and develop specifically for the requirements of corporate customers.
The aim of the cooperation is to develop new WLAN solutions for the hotel and leisure sector, e.g. for use in shopping or leisure centres. The increasing spread of smartphones and tablets promises many new ideas for possible offers with significant added value for customers and visitors. The WLAN hotspot software developed by Loop21 itself, including location-based services and content, tour guides and navigation systems, combines the trend of „Wifi Internet“ with infotainment. These added value projects are realized worldwide.
The cooperation with Loop21 makes it possible to offer LANCOM Systems technology also in the area of innovative hotspot solutions. By working together, we can develop and launch innovative products in a timely manner and thus further expand the leading position of our companies, explains Ralf Koenzen, Managing Director of LANCOM Systems.
