Laser Revolution by BenQ

BenQ develops the first laser projector.

Until now, small lamps were usually used as lighting sources in projectors, which brought both advantages and some disadvantages. Due to the new approach established by BenQ, the previous type becomes superfluous. Changing lamps is a thing of the past. The BlueCore projector impresses with 20,000 maintenance-free and bright hours (2000 ANSI Lumen), best energy efficiency and outstanding performance with a high contrast ratio of 80,000:1.

In addition to the standby power consumption (< 0.5 watts), this device also impresses with the possibility of reducing the power consumption by up to 90%. Thanks to the further development of SmartEco technology, the performance of the projector light source has been optimized and the SmartEco mode itself determines the required brightness of the input source.

The “No Ad Source” mode darkens the light to 10% if no ad source has been detected after more than three minutes and the Eco Blank mode allows the image to darken to eg gain the attention of the auditorium. In addition, the power consumption is reduced again to only 10%.
