As an alternative to the Dolby system, Microsoft offers the WOW technology from SRS Labs. WOW has been integrated into the media player and increases the quality and dynamics especially for compressed files such as WMA, WAV and MP3 files. A small device is integrated between the signal and the console. In addition, the TruBass (SRS) gives the audio files a deep, very dynamic but controlled bass.
