Windows XP provides the user with a fairly open system, which among other things provides you with a lot of new designs as standard. In order not to inflate the operating system unnecessarily with an infinite number of possible designs, Microsoft continues to make desktop designs available for download on its homepage. This leaves it to each user himself to decide with which amounts of data he feeds his PC. To download further design, proceed as follows:
1. Right-click on a free space on the desktop and select Properties. The Property dialog box of Display appears.
2. In the Design list field, click More Design online. A dial-up connection is established that connects you to the Internet. The corresponding Microsoft website appears.
