Frankfurt (pts006/19.04.2013/09:00) – The global technology and innovation consultancy Altran has sealed a cooperation with Pitney Bowes Software. The partnership focuses in particular on net scoring, where sales campaigns target the customers with the greatest potential, thus excluding scattering losses. This procedure is also referred to as “uplift modeling”.
Net scoring is a method of customer data analysis in marketing departments and works as follows: companies contact customers every day to sell their products and services. However, since this contact is cost-intensive, effectiveness and efficiency are the essential criteria. With net scoring, customers with the greatest sales potential can be identified in a contact. Only the customers are addressed, who will in all probability conclude the contract by this targeted contact.
On the other hand, those are left out where the probability of buying exists anyway. Nor should those who conclude the contract without contact by the company be addressed in order to save these costs. This is the advantage of net scoring over other known methods. “The aim of net scoring is therefore always to make the best use of the customer base through active management of the customer portfolio,” say Dr. René Michel, Dr. Igor Schnakenburg and Dr. Tobias von Martens, who jointly manage the partnership with Pitney Bowes on the part of Altrans.
In this cooperation, Altran’s customer-oriented consulting services focus on the optimal use of uplift modeling in practice, whereby companies increase the response rate, cross- and up-selling, while reducing the cancellation rate and opt-outs. Altran has a wide range of know-how on how to use the existing customer data of a company with net scoring. Pitney Bowes Software brings its software solutions for customer analytics and campaign management to the cooperation, with the help of which the processes around uplift modeling are automated.
The cooperation is of particular interest for all industries in which the companies operate customer analytics and an elaborate campaign management, such as banks, insurance companies, telecommunications providers, energy suppliers, cable companies or retailers. In these industries, the joint services of both partners are primarily of interest to the marketing and customer relationship management departments of companies.
Marc Hirtz, Managing Director of Pitney Bowes Software for Central Europe (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Eastern Europe and Russia), emphasizes the benefits of the cooperation for customers: Altran’s expertise helps customers to use our software solution for uplift modeling, which has been very positively evaluated by Gartner and Forrester, even faster in their companies. This allows these companies to optimize their campaigns and save time and money.
The partnership between the two companies for the Central Europe region complements the existing cooperation in France, which has already created many synergies.
